On November 9, Toast Partner Michael Rutherford spoke at the “Ulster Business School Magee Virtual Employer/Alumni Panel”.

The event was devoted to discussing the importance of undertaking a work placement during university studies and the main benefits that students can get from such an experience.

“Successfully completing a work placement will increase your skills, utilise the theory you will have gained from your course, expand your networks, boost your employability and clarify your career goals. When you have your first job interviews post graduation, having relevant professional experience on your CV will help you to stand out from the other candidates” – said Michael Rutherford.

Thank you Ulster University for the invitation and to all of the other panelists for a great discussion.
