The name Toast was originally an acronym for Totally Online Accountancy Services and Taxation, which reflected our remote-first, tech-enabled, and nimble set-up. But over time, the firm outgrew its acronym, and so did the team.

Today, we no longer need to explain itself with an acronym. The name stands on its own. So what does it mean now?

Contrary to its definition, a toast is more than a moment of recognition. It’s a marker of momentum., a signal that progress is happening, and that we’re just getting started.
